A Youth Worker's Story.

A Youth Worker's Story follows Cameron Hudson, a youth worker with Cheshire City Council who supports young people through youth work and outdoor education.
Drawing on Cameron’s own experience of growing up in the care system, the film explores the importance of supporting young people who face difficult circumstances and helping them see that their beginnings do not have to determine their future. Cameron reflects on building trust with young people, creating positive opportunities and helping them make positive choices.
Cameron also discusses the outdoor activities he teaches, including kayaking, canoeing, abseiling and mountain biking, as well as supporting young people through ASDAN accreditation. The film highlights the challenges and rewards of youth work and the importance of giving young people opportunities to grow.
The film was produced as part of Work Placement for Humanities Postgraduates – ENG 40057 and CPA4007 (Professional Practice), supervised by Dr Pawas Bisht.
